Lorraine Mae Dawson 1929 — 2022 Lorraine Mae Dawson, 93, of Poca passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Lorraine was born in Boone County to the late Virgie Mae Booth on June 2,1929. She was the youngest of 3 siblings. She married the love of her life Ulysses K. Dawson in 1946, having just celebrated their 76th anniversary in August. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by Daughter, Janet Marie Dawson; brother, Henry Bias; and granddaughter, Kinsey Hill. Lorraine is survived by son, Gary (Rhonda) of West Jefferson, OH; daughter, Laverna (Steve) of Russell, Ky; son, Neil (Judy) Belleview, FL; daughter, Vivian of Cross Lanes; son, Randy (Carol) of Poca; daughter, Rita... Nitro, West Virginia Carl Vernon Addison 1929 — 2022 Carl Vernon Addison, 92, of Nitro went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2022 in Marmet Center after a long illness. Vernon was born November 26, 1929 in Twin Branch, WV to the late Beecher Wilby Addison and Jesse Sue Ellen Henderson Addison. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by siblings, Bill, Donald, and Delores. Vernon was an Army Veteran, having served at the Pentagon, retired from Union Carbide, and was member of the Nitro Church of God. Vernon especially enjoyed wood working, making clocks, tables, and doll houses. "Mickey" Baldwin, 93, went home to be with the Lord at Genesis Teays Valley Center, Hurricane on October 12, 2022. She was born January 13, 1929 in Williamsburg, the daughter of Pleasant and Ethel Nolan Viers. In adidition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles. C. Baldwin, and son, Willard Baldwin. Mickey was a member of Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Stan and his wife Pam, of Scott Depot, granddaughter, Meghan Shores and her husband Chris, and great grandsons, Brad and Colt Shores, of PA.
