Not only is Killua Zoldyck one of the most memorable anime characters of all time, but his family is also full of powerful assassins that can compete with the best of the best in the world of anime. Silva, Zeno, and Illumi each provethatthe silver-haired child that follows Gon around is only the tip of the ice burg when it comes to the Zoldyck's power.
RELATED:
Killua does have one clear advantage over his family. Although other family members may dwarf him in terms of strength, none of them are fan-favorite characters. Here are the Zoldyck family members ranked in terms of likability, though it isn't difficult choosing favorites in this twisted family.
10 Kikyo
Truthfully, Kikyo deserves more sympathy than Hunter X Hunter fans often give her. The resident tiger mom of the Zoldyck family may act harshly toward Killua, but it is clear that her attitude is a symptom of her love.Considering this, she hardly deserves the scars left by Killua's attack when he ran away from home.
Kikyo's mistake is holding back information about Nen when Killua was hellbent on leaving his family home. On top of this, she treats Gon with a disdainthat few viewers can make sense ofon their first watch through.
9 Illumi
This character's deceptive and manipulative nature makes it very difficult to like him. Illumi gets a pass for these situations because he exceeds in a category that every battle anime character needs to impress fans.
As the oldest brother of the Zoldyck family, Illumi is incredibly powerful. His power makes him an intimidating antagonist during the Hunter Exam Arc and the 13th Hunter Chairman Election Arc. His power also keeps Hisoka away from Killua, which gives viewers the chance to see Illumi as a protective older brother rather than a psychotic assassin.
8 Milluki
Milluki's affinity with technologyfar exceeds every other member of his family. In fact, he seems to have learned so far into his love of technology that he has neglected the physical and aura based skills that the rest of his family have mastered.
RELATED:
Surely some viewers can relate to Milluki's greasy fingered scenes. Still, by introducing him during a torture scene with one of the show's primary characters, the writers make it very difficult to like him.
7 Kalluto
The youngest son of the Zoldyck family may be the most loyal member of the bunch. While a sense of self drives every other child, Kalluto follows his allegiances.
The problem with Kalluto's unwavering loyalty is that each group he joins serves as an antagonizing force to Gon and Killua. When first introduced, Kalluto is little more than Kikyo's henchman. Later as a phantom troupe member, Kalluto gives his strength to a group of murderous thieves. The final straw that stops viewers from accepting Kalluto is how he sad*stically draws out his battle with one of the Chimera Ants during the Chimera Ant Arc.
6 Zigg
Though little is known about Zigg Zoldyck, his resemblance to Killua is something to note. His introduction in the Manga only goes so far as to connect him to Isaac Netero in the distant past, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

If Zigg is the same age as Isaac Netero he may fit into the family tree between Maha and Zeno, but there is still too little canon information on the spiky-haired boy definitively make that claim. The appeal of an Issac Netero spin-off series staring Zigg Zoldyck as the resident side character is enough to makeHunter X Hunterfans likeZigg even though he receives a total zero seconds of screen timeinthe anime.
5 Maha
The oldest sitting member of the Zoldyck family barely gets any screen time. Still, he remains one of the most likable members of the Zoldyck family thanks to the cute little sandals he wears when he appears on screen. Jokes aside, most of the Zoldyck family present themselves as antagonists to Gon and Killua makes Maha easy to like compared to his family.
When comparedto Illumi and Kalluto, Maha demonstrates just how likable inaction can be.The fact that he fought Isaac Netero, a man rumored to be the strongest Nen user of his time, to a stalemate also helps.
4 Silva
Not only does Silva have an incredible character design, but he also demonstrates an incredible amount of powerthroughout theHunter X Hunter anime. As the current head of the Zoldyck family and the only son of Zeno, it may be fair to say that Silva is currently the most powerful member of the Zoldyck family.
Although Zeno, Maha, Zigg, and even Alluka have demonstrated powers that could make viewers question Silva's spot atop the Zoldyck power scale, Killua's father is in the prime of his life. With access to the entirety of Zoldyck's wealth and a mastery of his powers, Silva seems capable of defeating any foe that he faces in battle. He also demonstrates some impressive paternal instincts when dealing with Killua, making him even easier to like.
3 Alluka
Though every member of the Zoldyck family could be defined as a tragic character due to their cruel upbringing, Alluka is the most tragic. At some point, off-screen, Alluka was possessed by a spirit that has the ability to grant wishes like a genie named Nanikaーmeaning "something" in Japanese.
Alluka's power, while possessed, forces others to mistreat them and even motivates Silva to call his own child an "it." Even though half of Alluka's screen time is split with Alluka, viewers' moments to see Alluka smile is enough to make them likable.
2 Zeno
Killua's grandfather could have easily topped this list ifHunter X Hunter's protagonistwere a sixty-year-old man rather than Gon Freecss. The former head of the Zoldyck family shares Killua's rounded skill set and respects the people's power and wishes.
Combine Zeno's respectful behavior with the incredible power that every Zoldyck has, and you have a difficult character to dislike. Although battle anime regularly lean into its shonen audience by casting a young protagonist, Zeno is proof that a grandpa character can be just as entertaining to watch.
1 Killua
The secondary character that contests Gon for the most likable character inHunter X Hunter easily tops the most likable family members of the Zoldyck family. Not only is Killua's Nen ability incredibly cool, but he also approaches the other skills that his family has mastered without judgment.
Over theHunter X Hunter anime course, Killua demonstrates every skill that his family membershave masteredwith a balance that his siblings lack. Killua pulls his social skills from his grandfather, his physical prowess from his father, his deception skills from Illumi, and his acceptance of technology from Milluki. His open mind and strength in combat are likable and admirable.
